Ok, it's my birthday, today... 24'th I think 
... damn...
Just on more year and I'll be quarter-of-a-century old!
I know I should be more cheerful about my birthday, but at the moment I've got a rather bad cold, the weather is lousy and in an hour I have to be at a boring lecture held by a guy who has no ability to explain what's going on in his head.
Let's hope this day ends better than it starts.

A Great 400D Hack! / BKS

This is awesome! I'm holding in my hands (ok, not literally because it would be hard to type this journal 
) a Canon EOS 400D camera which has ISO sensitivity up to 3200 with 1/3 EV increment and spot metering!

Well, I followed these instructions and it worked

If you would like to try that on your 400D/Rebel XTi (I think) than I would like you to do me a favour. I'd like to know if this hack works without changing the original firmware. So skip the points no. 3 and no. 4 of the "Detailed howto" and just modify your CF card. Because I went back to the original 1.1.1 firmware but when I use the modified CF the new functions still work.
So please just tell me whether the steps 3 and 4 are necessary or not.
Oh and remember, if you want the camera to behave as usual, make sure that the card is no longer bootable. Otherwise your camera won't turn on.

Return of the Lazy One / Return of BKS

I'm back! 
I've been away for awhile, firstly because I've spent over two weeks in Bieszczady (beautiful mountains in south-eastern Poland) and secondly because I was overwhelmed by the number of photos for processing, number of deviations to view and other dA related stuff that piled up during my absence. As a result I was basically ignoring dA and other photographic stuff.
But now I've put myself together and in a couple of minutes I'll upload the first seven of all the photos to come. I hope you'll like my attempts with landscape photography
